We hosted a backyard Luau on June 12, 2009 to raise money to find a cure for diabetes. We had close to 200 people gather in our backyard in support of Michael. We truly do have the best friends and family on the planet. Everyone shows so much support for everything we do involving finding a cure for Michael. A HUGE thank you goes out to everyone, especially those that had a hand in putting on this big event.
We had a delicious, authentic, polynesian feast, Gunther's Freeze, silent auction items and polynesian entertainment. We did our best to make it as authentic as possible, I think the only thing missing was the waves crashing from the ocean. We even had a breathtaking sunset!
